In vivo assays:
- Tumor models
The models include subcutaneous (tumor implanted in the right flank) and orthotopic (tumor implanted in the organs) models. The services include tumor induction and drug administration(s) (intravenous, intraperitoneal, subcutaneously or gavage).
- Other disease models
Such as transgenic and conditional/knock-in based engineered models that target known tumor promoting pathways
- Teratoma formation assays
Embryonic stem (ES) cells and induced pluripotent stem (iPS) cells will form teratomas (with three embryonic germ layer cells) when xenografted into immunodeficient mice.
- In vivo imaging
Collaborating with CAMI, several in vivo imaging modalities (MRI or Optical in vivo imaging) can be used to monitor tumor growth in animals.
